Split Pea

Split Pea is the brainchild of Melatonin Hax, she who is one half of Thimbles, the high muckity muck in charge of the Area 408 half of Harold, and the new sim Elliott. A little over a year ago, she branched off from Thimbles into millinery- creating fantastical creations, mostly to be worn upon the head, in room 13 of the motel when it moved to Lloyd.

Eventually this little side project grew beyond the bounds of just a motel room, and moved into, of course, giant peas. Those peas inhabit the space in Lloyd that had been devoted to Thimbles, before the move to the giant thimbles in Floyd, keeping that plot in the family, as it were.

Quite a few head adornments (there are hats- but there are also feathers and vines and bows and glasses and birds) in Split Pea are created to go with things made by other designers- there are hats to go with dresses by Heartattack&Vine, feathers and bows to go with Clawtooth by Clawtooth hair.

Split Pea is located in the southwest corner of Lloyd, a stone's throw from the motel and next to ZsaZsa's bra on Horst.

The Waffle House Hustler (100L) hat is new from Split Pea. Wear with Heartattack & Vine's dress Waffles at Mathematicaly Superior and Pudge's Hot Mess Hair - or at least that's what I would wear it with!

Newness at Split Pea

Released this week to the I <3 Starlust group is the Split Pea Hat - you can pick up a copy by joining the group and checking notices. The awesome designers of Starlust have been giving out freebies to the group and putting up new freebies in their stores and in the reception area of the Starlust Motel!


Also just released is the Maude the Mod Headband. Its in Split Pea's store (room 13 at the Starlust) and will be at Pudge's Cheeseburger. It was made to work with Pudge's new hair Maude the Mod (adoooorable hair!!) The flower petals are color changing so you can click each petal and make any color changes you'd like! GOOOO nuts (like me)!!


I also released the Violets are Blue Hat. It was created to go with Heartattack & Vine's Roses are Red dress. It also works best with Marly's Slim Pixie Hair.

Melatonin keeps giving me her hats and she doesn't understand why I like them so much. So, to show her how epic her hats are, I put this outfit together from all my homeboys on Lloyd. The hat is from Melatonin Hax of Split Pea (in the Starlust Motel), the shirt is from Toast Bard of Fashionably Dead (in the big Dino), the skirt is from Constanza Volare of Alchemy (in the Starlust Motel), and last but not least, the shoes are from Erpla Prieto of Periquita (look out for quicksand!)

Do me a favor and go to Split Pea and get this hat. Show Melatonin that she must keep making hats like this! All I can make is a mess, and not even a very good mess at that. I keep glaring at my desk like if I am mean enough, it might clean itself off. I dunno, I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not doing the trick. I'm not making sense. I can't decide if that is because I'm a crackhead or because it is faaaaaaarrr past my bedtime... HALP!
